Syrian MP Urges Resistance’s Action against Western Media
Heading a Syrian delegation, Deputy Head of Syria-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Group Haifa Juma held a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian in Tehran on Tuesday.
She referred to the strategic relations between the two countries and thanked Iran, on behalf of the Syrian government and people, for standing by the Syrian nation in the fight against terrorism and extremism.
Juma also paid tribute to the martyrs of the fight against terrorism in Syria and said the memory and name of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani lives on in the hearts of the Syrian people as a symbol of sacrifice, the Foreign Ministry’s website reported.
The Syrian parliamentarian also pointed to her visit to a center belonging to the House of Innovation and Tech in Tehran. Juma praised Iran’s scientific progress in the fields of nanotechnology, medicine, stem cells, and industries, hailing the Iranian nation’s resistance and perseverance in the face of cruel sanctions.
Juma then referred to the attempts by the Western media empire to tarnish the image of the countries of the resistance axis, emphasizing the necessity to promote the resistance media front to show the truth about those countries and confront the lies spread by this media empire.
For his part, Amirabdollahian paid tribute to the martyrs of resistance who lost their lives in the fight against terrorism, especially Lt. General Qassem Soleimani, Syrian martyrs and others.
The martyrs of the resistance axis, he added, rid Syria of Daesh terrorism through their perseverance.
The foreign minister further pointed to the role and status of the two countries’ parliaments in pursuing the expansion of ties in various fields of bilateral cooperation, stressing the necessity to implement the economic agreements reached between the two sides in accordance with the level of the existing capacities.
