{"id":21895,"date":"2022-11-02T10:53:42","date_gmt":"2022-11-02T11:53:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peymantaeidi.net\/stem-cell\/?p=21895"},"modified":"2022-11-02T12:42:16","modified_gmt":"2022-11-02T12:42:16","slug":"shettima-atiku-is-more-of-raila-odinga-hes-no-abraham-lincoln","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/peymantaeidi.net\/stem-cell\/2022\/11\/02\/shettima-atiku-is-more-of-raila-odinga-hes-no-abraham-lincoln\/","title":{"rendered":"Shettima: Atiku is more of Raila Odinga \u2014 he\u2019s no Abraham Lincoln"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/peymantaeidi.net\/stem-cell\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Kashim-Shettima5.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/div>\n<p class=\"p2\"><strong>Kashim Shettima, former governor of Borno, has compared Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to Raila Odinga, former prime minister of Kenya.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">Shettima, who is the vice-presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), spoke on Tuesday at a town hall meeting with business leaders in Lagos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">He said Abubakar cannot be likened to former United States President Abraham Lincoln.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">Lincoln, revered for helping to end slavery, served as US president from 1861 until his assassination in 1865.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"12\">\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">On the other hand, Odinga, who was prime minister from 2008 to 2013, has sought to be Kenya\u2019s president multiple times, but he keeps coming up short, including in this year\u2019s presidential poll won by William Ruto. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">Abubakar first sought to be Nigeria\u2019s president in 1992. He also lost the presidential polls in 2007 and 2019. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">Shettima said Abubakar, who was vice-president from 1999 to 2007, does not have the capacity to rule Nigeria. <\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">\u201cLeadership has got beyond the statesman\u2026 someone who cannot unite his party. I wonder how he is going to unite this nation,\u201d he said. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">\u201cThe world is talking about artificial intelligence, big data, and nanotechnology. The training that the elder statesman got from the Kano school of hygiene was that of a \u2018wole wole\u2019.
