(Supplied)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<div class=\"block-content\">\n<p><span>Lead researcher, Dr Muhammed Awad, told 9news.com.au the technology showed a 99.9 per cent kill rate against the bacteria.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"block-content\">\n<p><span>&#8220;Our photodynamic technology harnesses the energy of light to generate highly reactive oxygen molecules,&#8221; he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"block-content\">\n<p><span>&#8220;These molecules can actually attack the bacteria cells at different target sites at the same time, which prevents it from developing a specific resistance mechanism.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"block-content\">\n<p><span>&#8220;In addition, these nano-carriers\ufeff actually deliver the photo-active drug inside the communities of bacteria, inside their protective bio-films, which is what makes it difficult for antibiotics to kill.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"block-content\">\n<p><span>&#8220;Basically, it bombards the bacteria with an all-over attack.&#8221;\ufeff<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"block-content\">\n<p><span>Both Golden staph and pseudomonas aeruginosa\ufeff are transmissible, common bacteria, that are found on skin.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<figure class=\"article__image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/peymantaeidi.net\/stem-cell\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/https3A2F2Fprod.static9.net_.au2ffs2fe65298b4-b765-40c7-b28c-a5fd81b032c6\" alt=\"A map generated by WHO for a 2019 report on antibiotic resistance, tracked the prevalence of resistant staph infections.\" \/><figcaption class=\"article__caption\">A map generated for a 2019 report on antibiotic resistance, tracked the prevalence of resistant staph infections worldwide..
