Image: Maxeon Solar Technologies<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Solar module supplier<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pv-tech.org\/maxeon-expects-positive-adjusted-ebitda-in-q1-2023-first-since-spin-out\/\"> Maxeon Solar Technologies<\/a> has appointed Matt Dawson as chief technology officer.<\/p>\n<p>In his new position, Dawson will be responsible for the research and development function globally, establishing Maxeon Solar Technologies\u2019 new technology roadmap and leading technological innovation and development.<\/p>\n<p>Dawson will join Maxeon\u2019s research and development team in San Jose, California on 20 March. He will report to CEO Bill Mulligan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c(He joins) our leadership team at a time when solar technology plays an increasingly larger role in the global economy and energy security. He (also) brings a deep understanding of our interdigitated back contact technology and strong determination to drive future innovation,\u201d said Mulligan.<\/p>\n<p>Dawson\u2019s most recent position was chief technology officer at battery materials company Sila Nanotechnologies. He also held a senior position at solar company SunPower before.<\/p>\n<p>He commented on his latest position: \u201cWhat drew me to Maxeon is the company\u2019s strong legacy of leadership in solar innovation, rapid growth trajectory, and passion for delivering state-of-the-art technology to its customers.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Matt Dawson will be responsible for Maxeon Solar Technologies\u2019 global research and development function.
