The success story of Aishwarya Shrikrishna Pawar is sure to inspire many. Fighting all odds, the daughter of a farmer earned a master’s degree from the University of Alberta in Alberta, Canada. She finished her high school education at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in her home district of Satara, Maharashtra, and wanted to achieve something big in life.

A scholarship helped her pursue her goals, and she earned a CGPA of 9 in grade 10 and 83% in grade 12. Her mother saw an announcement for a Vidyadhan scholarship after she graduated from high school. Aishwarya passed the required entrance exam and is now a graduate of Shivaji University, Kolhapur’s School of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. At the conference, she discovered her enthusiasm for nanotechnology.

She graduated in 2020 with a 92.4% and in September 2021 she applied online to the University of Alberta in Canada to pursue a master’s degree in chemical and materials engineering. In November of 2021, she cleared the initial screening and interviews. Aishwarya is keen on pursuing research in fields such as polymers, energy and biochemical engineering, nanofabrication, and materials science at the University of Alberta. Aishwarya noted that hundreds of talented brains are held back from reaching their full potential because of financial difficulties. Aishwarya is proof that if you put your mind to something and keep at it, you will eventually succeed. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree and working as a secondary school tutor in her spare time.
