UoS, Polytechnic University of France promote cooperation

Sharjah24: His Excellency, Prof. Hamid M.K. Al Naimiy, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah (UoS), received Prof. Abdelhakim Artiba, President of the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France, with the aim of discussing ways of cooperation between the two universities in various fields of scientific research, as well as the exchange of experiences, academic visits and students.
During the meeting, both universities shared their interests in collaborative scientific research, exchanging students and faculty, research grant application, as well as discussed ways of promoting  joint supervision of  postgraduate students, conducting scientific visits and launching joint academic programs. The French delegation has also discussed several aspects and fields of cooperation with the College of Communication at the UoS, aiming to conduct joint scientific research and research projects in various disciplines. 

The Chancellor of UoS has welcomed the visiting delegation, in which he pointed out to the University’s prestigious position at the local, regional and global level, its remarkable achievements accomplished over the past 25 years since its establishment  and its celebration of the Silver Jubilee recently, stressing the UoS’s continuous keenness to cooperate with global academic institutes to benefit from the University’s research infrastructure and its advanced laboratories and research institutes of applied sciences.  

The meeting was attended from the UoS side by Prof. Youssef Al Haik, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Prof. Maamar Bettayeb, Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies, Prof. Jairo A. Lugo-Ocando, Dean of the College of Communication and a number of the college’s faculty members. In addition to attendees from the French delegation including Prof. El Hadj Dogheche, Institute Electronics Microelectronics and Nanotechnology (IEMN) Polytechnic University Hauts de France, Valeenciennes, France.
