She went on to share with her followers how happy her return to TV has made her as she praised kind bosses at This Morning and told how she had enjoyed working with Gyles Brandreth on their panel of commentators.

She then reflected on Channel 4’s 40th anniversary and her time on Countdown which she described as 23 ‘blissful, joyous, mischievous and happy years’.

She also mentioned her daughter Katie graduating with her PhD in nanotechnology from Cambridge and having part of my old Cambridge College named after her as ‘The CarolVorderman Buttery’.

At the end she poignantly wrote: ‘If bad things happened, I’ve either forgotten them or worked them out, or they made me stronger.’

Sharing a picture of her column on her Instagram she wrote in the caption: ‘HOW I LITERALLY LOVE MY LIFE!

‘Simple game… give EVERYTHING, a job. A holiday. A relationship. A day. A night out. Marks Out of 10… BUT you have to accept that 7/10 is a win… cos then it doesn’t matter if something is a 7, an 8, a 9 or a 10. A WIN is a WIN ❤️.

‘Something strange happens psychologically when you do this….counting UP makes your brain look for positives everywhere and once you get to 7/10. You’re the winner…it becomes a wonderful habit.

‘My column for today’s Daily Express….it gives an example of how to play it….hope you like it…

‘Follow up with ‘given the chance to relive something exactly as it was. You can’t change it. Would you still do it again Game’ You’ll find some interesting answers Xx.’
