Maxeon Solar Names Bill Mulligan CEO, Board Member

Maxeon Solar Technologies Ltd. on Wednesday named Bill Mulligan its new chief executive officer and board member, effective Jan. 23.
Mr. Mulligan previously served as chief operating officer of Sila Nanotechnologies, a maker of silicon anode material in advanced high-performance batteries. Prior to Sila, Mr. Mulligan was CEO of SolarBridge, a microinverter technology company, and an executive of SunPower Corp., a solar cell developer.
The Singapore-based solar panel designer and manufacturer in September said that former CEO Jeff Waters would depart and Chief Revenue Officer Mark Babcock would be interim CEO.
Mr. Babcock will return to his previous role with Mr. Mulligan as CEO based in the company’s San Jose, Calif., office, Maxeon Solar said.
