‘What a great night!’ Carol Vorderman joins Lewis Capaldi as she and rarely-seen lookalike daughter Katie dance backstage at the singer’s show
Carol Vorderman joined Lewis Capaldi for a fun Instagram update on Wednesday as she and her rarely-seen lookalike daughter attended his show.
The former Countdown host, 62, appeared to be having the time of her life as she danced backstage with Katie, 32, at the Scottish singers Cardiff arena concert.
The mother and daughter duo posed for photos with Carol’s pal and Lewis’ voice coach Yvie Burnett as they enjoyed the show.
Carol then met up with Lewis following his performance and shared a fun clip to her Story with Lewis saying ‘C Vorders in the building!’
Beneath the update, the TV presenter penned: ‘What a great night… OMG Lewis you’re amazing.’

She continued: ‘Backstage with my Scottish sis @yvieburnett….Lewis voice coach (and to Sam Smith too….she’s one of the best in the world….and I love her to bits.’
‘Inspired my girl @katie.science to get her guitar out again and do some open mic gigs.’
In the clip Lewis added: ‘Hello everybody on the Internet, I was average at best, C Vorders in the building, we love it!’
Carol shares Katie and a son, Cameron, 25, with ex-husband Patrick King. The former couple were married from 1990 until 2000.
Katie is a student pilot, who now attends the International Space University in France after graduating from her PHD in nanotechnology at Cambridge University in summer.
Carol’s fun-filled night comes after she was hailed for her ‘rebirth’ as a surprise ‘anti-corruption firebrand’ as she continued her campaign against Tory ministers.
Many social media users have expressed their joy – and some bemusement – at how she has turned into a ‘fearless’ political campaigner.
But others have branded her a ‘champagne socialist’ and a ‘leftie luvvie’ over her dogged criticism of the Government.

In recent weeks, Vorderman has used her Twitter account – as well as TV appearances – to promote allegations against various Conservative politicians.
She has described her focus on ‘Tory sleaze’ as her ‘calling out corruption’, with the efforts having thrilled many of her 635,000 followers.
There has also been a fair amount of confusion about Vorderman’s sudden switch to ‘anti-Tory activist’.

The majority of Carol’s recent tweets have been focussed on the Nadhim Zahawi tax row, after it emerged he had paid a penalty to HMRC.
After Mr Zahawi’s sacking as Tory chairman yesterday, one Twitter user shared a photo of Carol with a glass of champagne and joked she had ‘just killed another career’.
Tim Burgess, the lead singer of rock band The Charlatans, also posted: ‘Carol Vorderman helping bring down the Government wasn’t on my 2023 bingo card, but I’m very much here for it.’

Vorderman has also recently highlighted claims about BBC chairman Richard Sharp’s involvement in securing financial support for ex-prime minister Boris Johnson, as well as posting newspaper articles about peer Michelle Mone amid a PPE row.
Rishi Sunak has not escaped the presenters attention either, after she used a recent appearance on ITV’s This Morning to question the Prime Minister’s use of a ‘blind trust’ for his financial interests.
TV impressionist Rory Bremner recently hailed Vorderman, claiming she was ‘on fire re. Zahawi, Johnson, Sunak, the whole lot of them’.
‘Go Carol!,’ he added on Twitter.
